SummaryReporting to the Associate Director, the Coordinator is responsible for providing overall support for planning, coordination, and executing events.  This role involves coordinating communication and logistics for alumni events and programs, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with various tasks to enhance alumni engagement. Primary Job Duties<ul><li>Event Management<ul><li>Assist the Associate Director in Developing events to meet the strategic priorities of the Office of Alumni Engagement. </li><li>Create and send out surveys after events to all attendees promptly to collect event feedback. Monitor survey responses and flag the appropriate staff member of responses when necessary. </li><li>Work with Office of Advancement administrative staff to coordinate the preparation of event packages, coordination of deliveries of mailings, attendance lists, nametags, literature, favors and other supplies for all events and by deadline.</li></ul></li><li>Advancement Ambassador<ul><li>Build relationships with faculty and staff to highlight Advancement/Fundraising and College-wide initiatives through programming. </li><li>Support faculty during the event planning process – including securing all aspects of travel as needed for faculty to attend events in different cities. </li></ul></li><li>Supports all Office of Advancement events as needed<ul><li>Throughout the year there are events that require “all hands-on deck” and/or all members of the Office of Advancement to contribute to major on-campus events including but not limited to: Reunion Weekend, Homecoming, Palamountain Benefit, and Celebration Weekend. </li></ul></li><li>Volunteer Management<ul><li>The Coordinator will oversee Affinity Networks led by key volunteers where robust groupings of alumni live. For our services, we have been recognized as one of the nation's top 100 performing home health agencies by HomeCare Elite.Qualifications<ul><li>High School Diploma or GED</li><li style="line-height:normal;vertical-align:baseline">Valid Driver's License and Current Auto Insurance</li><li>Ability to successfully pass pre-employment driver record, criminal, adult and child abuse background check/review required</li></ul> Responsibilities include but are not limited to:<ul><li style="line-height:15pt;background:#ffffff">Volunteer functions encompass those tasks, duties, and responsibilities that are critical and fundamental to the volunteer position and comprise the means of accomplishing the job's purpose and objectives. </li><li style="line-height:15pt;background:#ffffff">Assists team with patient care in accordance with the plan of care.</li><li style="line-height:15pt;background:#ffffff">Provides needed services to patients/families and as outlined in the Hospice Volunteer Handbook (e.g. companionship, shopping, respite, etc.)</li><li style="line-height:15pt;background:#ffffff">Makes a time commitment of 2-4 hours each week as schedule permits.</li><li style="line-height:15pt;background:#ffffff">Provides notification when a substitute is needed.</li><li style="line-height:15pt;background:#ffffff">Uses listening skills effectively to provide emotional support to the patient/family.</li><li style="line-height:15pt;background:#ffffff">Reports and/or records any changes in the patient's condition or environment to the Hospice Volunteer Services Coordinator, case manager, or other appropriate team member.</li><li style="line-height:15pt;background:#ffffff">Provides accurate, timely, and objective documentation of volunteer activity.</li><li style="line-height:15pt;background:#ffffff">Submits annual mandatory paper to maintain active status as a volunteer.</li><li style="line-height:15pt;background:#ffffff">Attends scheduled rehearsals and assigned bed-side or community presentations (if applicable)</li><li style="line-height:15pt;background:#ffffff">Is able to demonstrate competency requirements and attends educational in-services and workshops as schedule permits.</li><li style="line-height:15pt;background:#ffffff">Accountable for and expected to integrate VNAHSR's HEALTH Matters values into the execution of the essential functions of their volunteer work. </li></ul>
