EXAMPLES OF WORK: Oversees and participates in the work of operation and maintaining wastewater collection and treatment facilities; starts, stops, sets operation sequence, and speed of water and wastewater pumps, air compressors, and blowers, chemical mixing and feeding equipment and other machinery; performs work at various County owned facilities; records data; reads meters and gauges, makes adjustments and repairs; performs routine lubrication work; collects samples; performs tests; cleans pumps and other equipment; prepares reports for local, state and federal agencies, including the monthly discharge report (DMR), orders chemicals, sanitation and lab supplies; coordinates preventative maintenance and repairs with maintenance personnel; oversees the work of subordinates as assigned; performs related work as required.
