The inpatient Registered Nurse administers nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. The RN may advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention. The inpatient RN will maintain accurate, detailed reports and records and administer medications to patients while monitoring for reactions and side effects. The RN will monitor records and report symptoms or changes in patients conditions.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
• AHA BLS required prior to orientation completion.

Job SummaryWith limited supervision and under the direction of the Radiologist, performs a variety of procedures utilizing magnetic resonance imaging equipment and computer assisted tomography scanner to visualize internal anatomy on neonatal, infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations.Supports, and is responsible for incorporating into job performance, the Frederick Health (FH) mission, vision, core values and customer service philosophy and adheres to the FH Compliance Program, including following all regulatory requirements and the FH Standards of Behavior.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSTechnical Performance:<ul><li>Performs correct patient positioning and secures patients to MR table.</li><li>Positions imaging coils correctly</li><li>Selects proper technical settings and scan protocols from computer menu. Performs MR procedures as defined.</li><li>Transmits images to PACS for interpretation and for permanent record.</li></ul>Quality Assurance:<ul><li>Responsible for obtaining optimal MR images to provide the radiologist with information to assure that an accurate diagnosis is rendered.</li><li>Evaluates MR images with radiologist.</li><li>Monitors equipment status indicators to prevent damage.</li><li>Performs daily quality control checks of the MR unit in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations and accreditation requirements.</li></ul>Contrast Administration:<ul><li>Assesses patient sensitivity to contrast material through interview and screening.</li><li>Assists radiologists in determining type and volume of IV contrast material to be administered.</li><li>Obtains informed consent.</li><li>Performs phlebotomy.</li><li>Administers oral and IV contrast material.</li></ul>Cleanliness & Orderliness<ul><li>Responsible for cleanliness and orderliness of assigned workspace.</li><li>Checks emergency equipment, drugs, and supplies for missing and/or expired items.</li><li>Returns used equipment to its proper place.</li></ul>Data Entry & Record Management<ul><li>Ensures that patient records are complete and signed prior to examination.</li><li>Executes a variety of tasks associated with the PACS, HIS and RIS systems.</li></ul>CallTakes emergency call as required; readily available when needed and responds in a timely manner.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:<ul><li>Maintains technical expertise and competency of specialty job functions while maintaining any specific licensure or certifications.</li><li>Participates in staff development and continuing education programs while sharing knowledge with new employees.</li><li>Adherence with all hospital wide or departmental specific infection control prevention practices, policies, and procedures to mitigate the risk of infectious disease transmission.</li><li>Application of all standard precaution techniques including but not limited to proper hand hygiene, wearing appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) such as gloves, mask and eye protection as warranted and following all exposure categories precautions.</li><li>Responsible for cleaning of patient care equipment on regular basis with appropriate hospital-grade disinfectant when visibly soiled or after each patient use.</li><li>Adherence to all hospital wide or departmental specific data entry and record management policies and procedures including but not limited to the following: accurate, timely, appropriate, complete, dated, timed, etc.\u2026</li><li>Adherence and compliance with organizations Standards of Behavior, HR and/or departmental specific policies, procedures, and expectations</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Required:<ul><li>Graduate of a CAHEA or JRCERT approved program as a Registered Technologist R.T. (R)</li><li>ARRT, ARMRIT, or CAMRT registered as an MR technologist; or ARRT registered or unlimited state license and 1 year of supervised MRI clinical scanning experience.</li><li>Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Technologist R.T.
