Location: Primarily at the United States Disciplinary Barracks (USDB), but any other college location as assigned by the appropriate administrator. SUMMARY 
Kansas City Kansas Community College (KCKCC) is currently searching for Adjunct faculty to teach business-related courses, primarily at the USDB. There may be additional sections to be taught at any location including daytime, online, virtually, and/or at area high schools. This is a POOL position. POSITION DESCRIPTION<ul><li style="margin-top:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in">Conduct all class sessions according to schedule.</li><li style="margin-top:0in;margin-right:14.85pt;margin-bottom:0in">Provide instruction, activities, assignments, and assessments to adequately cover all student learning objectives for the specific course(s) taught.</li><li style="margin-top:0in;margin-right:8.05pt;margin-bottom:0in">Use teaching methods that emphasize application, cooperation, and collaboration. Engage students actively in their studies, encouraging them to become independent learners with higher-order thinking skills.</li><li style="margin-top:0in;margin-right:8.25pt;margin-bottom:0in">Organize and explain content using methods that are appropriate to students with differing abilities, levels of preparation, and cultural experiences.</li><li style="margin-top:0in;margin-right:28.3pt;margin-bottom:0in">Assign and provide feedback for in and out-of-class work, monitor student progress and maintain accurate record of students’ performances.</li><li style="margin-top:0in;margin-right:28.3pt;margin-bottom:0in">Monitor student progress.</li><li style="margin-top:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in">Perform adequate assessment and analysis of assessment according to college requirements.</li><li style="margin-top:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in">Reflect on and evaluate the effectiveness of one’s own pedagogy.</li><li style="margin-top:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in">Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES<ul><li style="margin-top:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in">Excellent oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to arrive on time and be ready to teach course(s) during scheduled times.</li><li>Ability to prepare curricular materials to convey learning objectives to students.</li><li>Ability to effectively utilize Blackboard for posting assignments, assessing students, performances, and grading.</li><li>Ability to think critically and solve problems independently.</li><li>Ability to be organized and work on multiple tasks simultaneously.</li><li>Ability to work with students, staff, and faculty.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications with an emphasis on Word.</li></ul>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS <ul><li style="margin-top:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in">Master’s or higher degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Finance, Entrepreneurship, Human Resources, or a master’s degree in another discipline with at least 18 graduate credit hours in business-related coursework from a regionally accredited institution.</li><li style="margin-top:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in">Demonstrated knowledge of core business concepts such as management principles, marketing fundamentals, entrepreneurship, or related topics.</li></ul>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li style="margin-top:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in">Three (3+) or more years of teaching experience at the college level.</li><li style="margin-top:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in">Teaching experience in an open-enrollment, urban community college.</li><li>Two (2) years of related professional business experience outside of teaching.</li><li style="margin-top:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in">Experience with a Learning Management System (KCKCC uses Blackboard Ultra).</li><li style="margin-top:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in">Experience in learner-centered pedagogy.</li></ul>WORKING CONDITIONS
