BS degree in (Electronics or Biomedical Engineering Technology) with 4 year fulltime BMET work experience, or AS degree in (Electronics or Biomedical Engineering Technology) with 6 years fulltime BMET work experience, or Completion of a U.S. military biomedical equipment technology program and 6 years fulltime BMET work experience, or High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs with 8 years fulltime BMET work experience. The Biomedical Engineering Technician III (BMET III) works independently and maintains medical equipment readiness and ensures conformance with manufacturer specifications by performing more complex schedule maintenance, repairs, end-user support, and installations with limited supervision.
