Position Description Job Summary:<ul><li>The Construction tradesman performs skilled tasks related to the concrete, core drilling, flat sawing and wall sawing and all specialized tools and equipment. This role requires experience in construction, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to maintain safety, efficiency, and quality standards.</li></ul> Duties and Responsibilities: <ul><li>Working safely and collectively with a team to perform concrete coring, sawing, and demolition.</li></ul> <ul><li>Specific Role Responsibilities:</li></ul> <ul><li>Working on multiple site task for:</li></ul> <ul><li>Concrete Sawing</li></ul> <ul><li>Concrete Coring</li></ul> <ul><li>Concrete form work</li></ul> <ul><li>Application of composite systems to structural elements</li></ul> <ul><li>Epoxy Injection</li></ul> <ul><li>Concrete Joint Sealing</li></ul> <ul><li>Maintain, and ensure the safe operation, cleanliness, and general maintenance of company equipment, including vehicles, diamond blades, flat saws, core drills, wall saws, jackhammers, and small tools.</li></ul> <ul><li>Utilize a tablet or phone app to accurately enter and track hours and daily job notes.</li></ul> <ul><li>Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.</li></ul> <ul><li>Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and meet project goals.</li></ul> <ul><li>Work in varying environmental conditions, including rain, cold, and heat, while maintaining productivity and adherence to safety standards.</li></ul> <ul><li>Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.</li></ul>Position Requirements Required Skills and Abilities:<ul><li>Proficiency in the use of diamond or demolition tools, including wall saws, core drills, flat saws, hand saws, and ring saws.</li><li>Experience with bobcats, backhoes, or related equipment is a plus.</li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude and basic mathematical skills.</li><li>Ability to mentor and support trainees, fostering a collaborative and educational work environment.</li><li>Self-motivation, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in challenging conditions.</li><li>Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions effectively.</li><li>Teamwork and collaboration abilities to support project objectives.</li><li>Reliable transportation and the ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screenings.</li><li>Must possess a valid, unrestricted driver’s license with a good driving history.</li><li>Steel toe leather work boots are required.</li></ul>Essential Core Competencies:<ul><li>Safety Awareness: Prioritize safety in all tasks and follow established protocols.</li><li>Mechanical Aptitude: Demonstrate the ability to maintain and operate tools and equipment effectively.</li><li>Problem-Solving: Adapt to unexpected challenges and implement effective solutions.</li><li>Communication: Exhibit clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Team Collaboration: Work effectively with colleagues to complete projects safely and efficiently.</li><li>Leadership and Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to trainees, fostering skill development and teamwork.</li><li>Time Management: Maintain efficiency in completing tasks within project timelines.</li><li>Attention to Detail: Ensure precision in tasks and adherence to quality standards.</li></ul> Education and Experience:<ul><li>2 years of experience working in Construction Field.</li><li>Proficiency in the use of tools such as wall saws, core drills, flat saws, hand saws, ring saws, wire saws, and compressor tools.</li><li>Experience with bobcats, backhoes, or related equipment is a plus.</li></ul> Physical Requirements•Prolonged periods of standing, bending, lifting, climbing, stooping, twisting, and manual labor.•Ability to lift and transport heavy equipment and materials as required up to 50 lbs.•Tolerance for exposure to various weather conditions and environments.•May be required to travel to job sites or other locations as necessary.Position Instructions Penhall Company has been shaping the future of concrete services for over 65 years.
