Education: High School Diploma or GED • Experience: Six (6) months cleaning experience preferred • Licenses and/or Certifications Required: A valid Colorado drivers license • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Knowledge of equipment, materials, techniques and supplies used in the cleaning of buildings • Ability to operate floor buffing machine, scrubber, carpet cleaner, vacuum cleaner, snow blowers and other minor equipment • Ability to work independently • Ability to understand verbal and written directions • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, holidays and/or weekends as needed • Physical Demands: • Ability to drive to all facilities and to access all areas of all facilities to perform duties • Ability to stoop, kneel and reach, as well as to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and materials of up to 50 pounds • Frequent hand/eye coordination to operate personal computer and office equipment • Vision for reading, recording and interpreting information • Speech communication and hearing to maintain communication with employees and citizens • Work Environment: Works primarily in a clean, comfortable environment • Equipment Used: Uses various cleaning equipment including floor buffing machine, scrubber, carpet cleaner, vacuum cleaner, snow blowers and other minor equipment • This position may require the incumbent to occasionally use personal equipment (e.g. • Empties waste receptacles • Helps ensure public safety by assisting with snow and ice removal on building exteriors • Works within the Facilities Division to deliver room/event setup requests in the timeframe requested.
