This role advises on preventive maintenance strategy, leads reliability and improvement initiatives, provides backup coverage for building automation and controls as needed, manages vendor and contractor relationships for larger or specialized projects, and mentors less experienced technicians and maintenance workers — without formal people-management accountability. General understanding of building automation and controls work (e.g., Automated Logic, Tridium Niagara, Siemens, Johnson Controls Metasys, Honeywell, or similar) — able to read basic control diagrams and sequences of operation and recognize when a problem is control-related; willingness to cross-train on the platform in use at the assigned site.
