You’ll ensure the environment is safe, well-maintained, and supports resident satisfaction through proactive maintenance, staff leadership, vendor management, and regulatory compliance. In some communities, this position also oversees housekeeping, laundry, and transportation teams.Position Highlights:<ul><li>Status: Full Time</li><li>Schedule: Monday–Friday, typically 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM; on-call required; weekends as needed; may require flexibility based on community operations and project demands</li><li>Location: Naples, FL (Discovery Village Naples – Independent Living)</li><li>Rate of Pay: $60,000 (Salary) + 10% Annual Bonus (Critical Position)</li><li>Travel: 10–20% (local errands, supplies, training, etc.)</li></ul>What You’ll Do:<ul><li>Manage the daily maintenance and facility operations of the community, ensuring systems and equipment are functioning effectively and safely</li><li>Develop and execute a preventative maintenance program in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies</li><li>Supervise, schedule, and evaluate maintenance staff and, where applicable, housekeeping, laundry, and transportation teams</li><li>Ensure operational performance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire panels, and emergency response systems</li><li>Oversee vendor contracts, service agreements, and capital improvement projects, ensuring quality and timeliness</li><li>Monitor departmental budgets, track expenses, and contribute to capital planning and cost controls</li><li>Conduct apartment and unit inspections prior to new resident occupancy</li><li>Assist with capital projects, renovations, and refurbishments to maintain a high-quality environment</li><li>Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing life safety, maintenance, and environmental standards</li><li>Participate in the Safety Committee and disaster preparedness planning</li><li>Prepare departmental budgets, review variances, and implement corrective actions as needed</li><li>Respond promptly to after-hours emergencies and provide on-call support as required</li><li>Foster a service-first, resident-centered culture within all facility operations</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>High School Diploma or Bachelor’s/Technical degree in a related field</li><li>Minimum of 4 years of experience in a maintenance leadership or supervisory role preferred</li><li>HVAC certification, licensure, or equivalent training strongly preferred</li><li>Working knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, fire panels, and emergency response systems</li><li>Experience managing housekeeping, laundry, and/or transportation operations preferred (varies by community)</li><li>Demonstrated success in developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs</li><li>Experience managing vendor contracts and capital projects</li><li>Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with TELS or other work order management systems</li><li>Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building abilities</li><li>Availability for after-hours emergency calls and participation in on-call rotation</li></ul>Why Join UsDiscovery Senior Living Earned Coveted Great Place to Work Certification for 2025-2026!A large part of what makes Discovery different from other companies in this industry is our willingness to embrace change.
