This consists of but is not limited to: Shift checks and logging of equipment operation, chemical testing of boiler and loop systems, assuring safe and efficient operation as well as maintenance of the Boilers and their sub equipment, Chillers and sub equipment, Air compressors and sub equipment, Environmental Air Handler units and sub equipment as well as assist at the WWT if needed. The Facilities Technician is responsible for the operation and reliability of all plant systems including high pressure boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, HVAC systems, Wastewater Treatment (WWT), Ammonia, and facility power supply equipment and processes.
