Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiac Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:00 - 06:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience required License: Must have active state license to apply Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills/experience - Interpretation of dysrhythmias - Management of dysrhythmias - Obtain 12-lead EKG - Pre/Post cardiac catheterization skills/experience - Chronic/Acute renal failure experience - IV therapy skills/experience (accessing ports, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care/management, PICC line management, starting IVs) - Medication experience (continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, titrate cardiac drips, titrate vasoactive drips) - CVA/Acute stroke management experience - Respiratory/Thoracic skills/experience (assist with management of BiPAP and CPAP, care of ventilated patients, high flow nasal cannula, interpretation of ABGs, suctioning, ventilator management) - Professional topics and skills (infection prevention, isolation precautions, code blue/rapid response) Description: ICU Registered Nurse with cardiac experience is needed. Candidates must be able to manage patients with a variety of diagnoses including chest pain, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, dysrhythmias, post-cardiac interventions, strokes, respiratory failure, and renal failure.
