Work is primarily on weekends, with some occasional weekdays. All work is on a part-time "as needed” basis.We provide health readiness services to meet the medical and dental requirements to maintain a deployable military force for the Florida Army National Guard (FLARNG).DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Complete eyewear prescriptions for Soldiers with vision loss</li><li>Document findings on Military approved forms</li><li>Safeguard all patient information</li><li>Ensures all actions are in compliance with HIPAA and other appropriate federal and state laws and regulations</li></ul>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>This job has no supervisory responsibilities.</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS:Doctor of Optometry<ul><li>Active Florida Optometrist license, without restrictions</li><li>A valid US driver’s license</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes quickly</li><li>Ability to work for lengthy periods and perform accurately with adequate speed</li><li>Must submit no less than two professional references with a resume</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Experience working in a Military setting</li></ul>PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:<ul><li>Occasionally required to stand</li><li>Occasionally required to walk</li><li>Continually required to sit</li><li>Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity</li><li>Continually required to talk or hear?</li><li>While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet</li><li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include: Close vision; Distance vision; Color vision; and Peripheral vision.</li></ul>DAWSON is an Equal Opportunity/VEVRAA federal contractor.
