The unit provides valuable experience with cardiac rhythms, chest pain, heart failure, respiratory conditions, diabetes, renal disease, infection, and other complex medical diagnoses, while emphasizing early recognition of patient deterioration and timely escalation of care. Maintains current Basic Life Support certification; All nurses new to critical care, telemetry, PACU, and ED must successfully complete Advanced Cardiac Life Support within the first six months and maintain current card.
