As an MRI Technologist, responsibilities include but are not limited to: Demonstrate a strong and thorough knowledge of all MRI (and associated) equipment Obtain high-quality MR images assuring only optimal films are submitted for interpretationFacilitate the procedure by selecting proper technical factors/techniques to accommodate all patients and select, prepare and administer the appropriate contrast material if orderedPrepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicatedDocument all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on timeMaintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologistMonitor the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary suppliesAccept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care Qualifications · Vocational/Technical school · Valid ARRT registry · 1-3 years of experience · Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification · Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relation, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, computer, and clerical skills are necessary · Ability to read/comprehend written instructions as well as follow verbal instructions Benefits HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
