As a P&D Driver, you'll be the face of our company, delivering packages to customers and picking up shipments with efficiency and care. This role is perfect for self-starters who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working independently.  Key Responsibilities - Safely operate a delivery vehicle (e.g., step van or box truck) to deliver and pick up packages along assigned routes. - Load and unload vehicles, ensuring packages are handled with care and accuracy. - Scan and track packages using FedEx-provided handheld devices. - Provide excellent customer service, including resolving basic delivery inquiries. - Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and FedEx operational standards. - Complete daily paperwork and logs accurately. - Maintain a clean and organized vehicle. Qualifications - Must be at least 21 years old. - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations in the past 3 years). - Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. - Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with equipment. - Prior delivery or courier experience is a plus, but not required. - Strong time-management skills and ability to meet delivery deadlines. - Comfortable using technology (e.g., scanners, GPS, smartphones). - Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and peak season overtime. Scheduled hours will include daytime, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.   Work Location: 4815 NW 8th St, Ocala, FL, 34482   This position, at this location, offers shift differentials that will vary based on schedule:   • Weekend work ($2.00 Saturdays and Sundays regardless of start time)   Major Responsibilities:   • Handle inbound and outbound sales process   • Generate new business leads and maintain existing customer relationships   • Manage and oversee large fleet of vehicles   • Match vehicle demand with availability   • Coordinate all aspects of customer's accounts   • Ensure complete customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.   • Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.   Qualifications:   • At least 6 months of retail sales and/or customer service experience preferred   • High School diploma or equivalent required   • Bilingual, Spanish, preferred   • Ability to make independent decisions, work well in a team environment, customer service skills, organizational skills, and a positive attitude are required.   • Proficiency in the use of a computer, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required   • Valid Driver's License required, as is the ability and willingness to drive Penske vehicles, up to and including a 26' box truck   • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job   • As this position requires driving Penske and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role. The driver qualification file includes: an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last 3 years. Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMCSA Clearinghouse review.   • Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, travel as necessary, accurately complete Penske's employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.   This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.
