Delivered in partnership with the New York City Police Department and community-based organizations, SNL uses basketball and other sports activities to give young people a safe, supervised, and positive place to be on Saturday nights, while building trust and positive relationships between youth, law enforcement, and community partners. Saturday Night Lights (SNL) is a public safety and youth engagement initiative launched through the District Attorney’s Office that provides free, high-quality sports and recreational programming for middle school and high school youth during peak weekend hours, typically Saturdays from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
