As an MRI Technologist under the direction of a radiologist duties will include but not be limited to:Demonstrate a strong and thorough knowledge of all MRI and associated equipmentObtain high-quality MR images assuring only optimal films are submitted for interpretationFacilitate the MRI procedure by selecting proper technical factors/techniques to accommodate all patients and select, prepare and administer the appropriate contrast materialPrepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicatedDocument all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on timeMaintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist(s)Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary suppliesAccept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care Qualifications Registered by the American Registry or Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (MR)Licensed Radiologic Technologist, State of Florida, Department of Health - CRT1 year previous experience as a MRI Tech (preferred)Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, computer, clerical skills Benefits HCA Florida South Shore Hospital, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
