p>The Production Operator is a hands-on operational role responsible for the safe and reliable execution of high-temperature metallurgical processes within Vulcan's operations. Record amounts of product received or distributed via appropriate computer program • Picking and staging product for delivery in accordance with specifications on customer orders or other instructions • Operation of powered and manual industrial lift trucks (with certification) to transport product in the warehouse, and maintain daily forklift checklist • Move raw materials to the production area and move finished products to the warehouse • Ability to lift and carry bags, pails, boxes, and pallets varying distances • Ability to stage and remove product packaging in complex storage racking within operating areas and warehouses • Repackage product into proper containers for storage or shipment. This work is physical and requires attention to detail as follows: • Maneuver and connect/disconnect transfer hoses • Climb up tanks, tankers and railcars to open/close top hatches and monitor load • Inspect tanks, tankers and railcars before and after loading/unloading operations • Verify product against receiving/shipping documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and damages • Product sampling and quality control in conjunction with lab personnel • Maintain accurate receiving/shipping logs.
You'll work closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand their needs and translate them into robust technical solutions, managing video conferences for both internal and external meetings while ensuring maximum uptime and adherence to defined service level agreements. Work with digital mixers for live sound production, video switchers, digital camera equipment, Clear Com audio devices, multi-channel lighting boards including presets, and various video and audio peripherals.
