Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today's five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected.</div>Position Overview  We are seeking a Micron Solar Panel Production Technician to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. This role focuses on the production and assembly of solar panels using specialized micro-welding and busbar techniques. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable with fine assembly work, and brings a collaborative, flexible approach to production. Key Responsibilities: <ul><li>Assemble and integrate solar panel kits, including busbars and component connections. </li></ul><ul><li>Operate precision micro-welding and pulse welding equipment to join small components. </li></ul><ul><li>Inspect and test solar panel assemblies for electrical connectivity and quality standards. </li></ul><ul><li>Follow standard work instructions and maintain high-quality documentation. </li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate with engineers, production leads, and quality teams to troubleshoot assembly issues. </li></ul><ul><li>Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives. </li></ul>This position is assigned to Shift 3- Weekends: Friday–Sunday, 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. (3x12s).Qualifications Education: <ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or college coursework in engineering, electronics, or related fields preferred. </li></ul>Experience: <ul><li>Flexible on years of experience. </li></ul><ul><li>Experience in solar panel production, semiconductor manufacturing, or micro-welding is a plus. </li></ul><ul><li>Familiarity with small welders, pulse welders, or other precision assembly tools is desirable. </li></ul>Preferred Qualifications: <ul><li>Hands-on experience with solar kits, busbars, or semiconductor components. </li></ul><ul><li>Understanding of electrical connectivity, current flow, and basic testing procedures. </li></ul><ul><li>Experience in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing environments is a plus. </li></ul>Soft Skills: <ul><li>Strong attention to detail and quality. </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. </li></ul><ul><li>Flexible and adaptable to changing production requirements. </li></ul><ul><li>Positive attitude with strong work ethic. </li></ul>Technology Stack: <ul><li>Micro-welding and pulse welding equipment </li></ul><ul><li>Precision hand tools for small component assembly </li></ul><ul><li>Basic electrical testing tools (multimeters, continuity testers) </li></ul><ul><li>Manufacturing documentation systems </li></ul>Physical Requirements: <ul><li>Ability to work in a standard manufacturing environment. </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to perform repetitive fine assembly tasks for extended periods. </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to safely handle small tools and components. </li></ul>This job description may not be inclusive of all duties and responsibilities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and is committed to maintaining efficiency, quality, and safety in daily operations.<hr/>Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Handling and managing hazardous materials. </li></ul><ul><li>Forklift operations required. </li></ul><ul><li>Loading and unloading flatbed and box van trailers, bulk tankers, and ISO containers. </li></ul><ul><li>Assist in warehouse inventory. </li></ul><ul><li>Set up and start all mixing tanks and blenders. </li></ul><ul><li>Obtains and understands all documentation for making batches. Ensures correct ingredients are used for each batch. </li></ul><ul><li>Pumping and pouring chemicals into blend tanks in predetermined quantities. </li></ul><ul><li>Operates equipment (mixers, scales, meters, pumps, forklifts, etc.) safely. </li></ul><ul><li>Repackages bulk products into drums, pails, and totes according to repackaging agreements. </li></ul><ul><li>Ensures all raw materials returned to inventory have the correct quantity and information on containers and containers are in good condition. </li></ul><ul><li>Follows lab instructions regarding batch approval, adjustments, and any additional requirements. </li></ul><ul><li>Cleans equipment when needed. Maintains appropriate level of housekeeping according to company standards.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>High School Diploma or GED equivalent. </li></ul><ul><li>Must be able to read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English, including safety rules, operating procedures, product recipes, material identification, etc. </li></ul><ul><li>Must have mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Able to perform these operations using weight and volume measurements. </li></ul><ul><li>Able to manipulate 55-gallon drums, 5 and 7-gallon buckets, and powder bags up to 55 lbs. </li></ul><ul><li>Good troubleshooting skills. </li></ul><ul><li>Experience driving a forklift is preferred; a valid certification is a plus but not required. </li></ul><ul><li>Participates in ongoing safety programs, including safety meetings and training.</li></ul> We are proudly an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
