Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following: Applying law enforcement methods, practices, or operating techniques OR, Using techniques to conduct long and short-term investigations OR, Taking witness statements, identifying/arresting violators, and preparing incident reports OR, Performing fixed post and/or patrol assignments to enforce laws, rules and procedures. In this position, you will serve as a Police Officer responsible for maintaining law and order and security and to protect life, property, and the civil rights of individuals; protecting government property and sensitive assets and information from acts of sabotage, espionage, terrorism, trespass, theft, fire, and accidental and/or willful damage and destruction that may affect the national interest.
