Under immediate supervision in the Office of Parks and Recreation, Facility Security Assistants provide support related to the use and security of public buildings, recreational facilities, parks, and other City properties in use by staff or patrons; perform a combination of building security, answering phones, responding to the public, accepting rental applications and modifying rental agreements for extended hours, enforcing rules and regulations of the facility, moving and setting-up furniture which may include lifting and other light cleaning duties; and perform related duties as assigned. With an emphasis on Oakland's youth, Oakland Parks, Recreation & Youth Development (OPRYD), and its partners will provide best-in-class, relevant, and equitable programs and services, while meeting the specific needs of people and communities both at the neighborhood level and regionally throughout the City of Oakland.
