Shipyard Production Worker may gain exposure to other positions in the organization while working alongside and with other Trades and the experience may lead to opportunities to learn additional skills of other positions in the company such as Blasters, Brush and Roll Painters, Paint Sprayers, Paint Pump Operators, Equipment Operators & Maintenance Technnicians, Electricians, Welders, Shipfitters, Steel Workers, Carpenters, Safety Technicians, Quality Assurance Inspectors, Insulators, Machinists, Mechanics, and other specialty skills during working evolutions. The Shipyard Production Worker participates in abrasive and non abrasive removal of coatings systems and paint from surfaces as directed using power and non powered hand tools; cleans work areas as needed and directed to always maintain a safe work area; participates in preparing work areas prior to work, and breakdown of set ups after work is completed.
