Welder FabricatorLocation: Sedalia, MOSUMMARY:
Successful applicant will conduct metal (primarily steel) fabrication and welding on a daily basis. Successful applicant will be responsible for various types of structural welding, including preparation, welding, and finishing operations. Applicant must be able to read, interpret, and understand detail design prints. Successful applicant must be good physical condition and able to work in a steel fabrication shop environment on a daily basis. Successful applicant must be a team player, able to easily interact with others, have a solid work ethic. • Works directly with plant manager, shop supervisor, customer, drafter, and peers to produce finished products.
• Proficient in modern welding techniques and equipment.
• Good working knowledge of wire and filler material applications for various steel alloys and aluminum.
• Problem analysis and resolution.
• Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools.
• Responds effectively to questions and inquiries concerning assembly and welding.
• Utilizes knowledge of various machines, welding practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete assembly and welding.
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Must be familiar with product assembly and application.
• Must have working knowledge welding shop operations.Position Requirements:• The position requires that successful applicant be a highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently but also performs well within teams or work groups.
• Must have strong oral communication skills.
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
• Successful applicant will be safety conscious and have good housekeeping practices.
