ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Assistant Coach will provide opportunities and responsibilities in the areas of track and field that include, but are not limited to: Responsibilities include assisting the head coaches with the organization and implementation of practice plans and instruction for Shot Put, Discus, Hammer, and Javelin; Developing competition-day strategies and tactical planning; assessing and recruiting potential student-athletes; Evaluating competition sites and creating scouting reports; Assisting with home meet hosting duties, camps, and clinic operations; Supporting player communication and feedback; Overseeing team equipment; and assisting with the management of social media accounts.
