You’ll lead a team of licensed nurses, care managers, and support staff to ensure residents receive exceptional care and service in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards. As one of the most trusted Independent and Assisted Living communities in Silver Spring, MD, we provide dedicated staff, enriching activities, and a welcoming atmosphere.What You’ll Do: Clinical Leadership & Compliance<ul><li>Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and ownership standards</li><li>Oversee assessments, service plans, and resident health documentation in accordance with state requirements</li><li>Monitor clinical outcomes, implement corrective action, and lead quality improvement initiatives</li><li>Partner with the Executive Director and department heads to align resident health and safety goals with community operations</li><li>Maintain open communication with residents and families regarding changes in care or health status</li></ul>Resident Care & Services<ul><li>Lead the clinical team in providing exceptional care, including wellness checks, medication management, and service plan updates</li><li>Ensure resident service plans are accurate and updated to reflect current health status</li><li>Partner with physicians, pharmacy consultants, and allied providers to ensure continuity of care</li><li>Support education and engagement of residents and families in the care process</li></ul>Team Leadership & Development<ul><li>Hire, train, schedule, and supervise nurses, care managers, and other clinical team members</li><li>Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities for staff</li><li>Foster teamwork, accountability, and a culture of compassion and service excellence</li><li>Ensure adequate staffing levels, competency training, and clinical supplies to meet resident needs</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the current state required</li><li>Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience with one (1) year of nursing leadership experience</li><li>Experience in assisted living with knowledge of Maryland regulations required</li><li>Strong understanding of nursing practices, assessment techniques, and wellness services</li><li>CPR, First Aid,BLS Certification required</li><li>Delegating Nurse or willingness to become a delegating nurse</li><li>Knowledge of ECP or comparable is desired</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with ED and leadership team with state regulations</li><li>Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and manage a clinical team</li><li>Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities</li><li>Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems</li><li>Participation in on-call and weekends/holidays are required</li><li>Travel required for resident assessments</li></ul>Why Join UsDiscovery Senior Living Earned Coveted Great Place to Work Certification for 2025-2026!A large part of what makes Discovery different from other companies in this industry is our willingness to embrace change.
