In a programming section or the Community Engagement section, this position may provide supervision for the programming unit, coordinate projects, train, and resolve day to day operational issues of the unit; develop and implement programs and services, contribute to the development and implementation of grant proposals to seek funding for library programs; oversee installations of displays in exhibit/gallery spaces; be responsible for scheduling meeting room reservations and ensuring that Division procedures for usage and fee policies are properly administered; coordinate events that require AV support in either a fully equipped auditorium or theater space; working with partner organizations, authors, and artistic entities to deliver high quality programs; and serve as a resource for cluster branches. Works at the public service desks providing service to library customers with basic information, location of library materials and assistance in the use of computer and other library equipment; assists with returning and lending materials, issues new library cards, gives library services orientation and handles Point of Sale transactions; provides service to customers with account problems and provides resolutions.
