This includes securing windows and entry ways • Delivers supplies and materials to classrooms, bathrooms, and other areas of the building • Performs basic repairs and maintenance in all trades, with assistance and training, if needed including (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, etc.) • Available (24/7) and able to respond to emergencies, security class, and the need for emergency repairs • Able to work in high elevations, including but not limited to roofs, scaffolding, lifts, and ladders as needed • Clean cafeterias, sweeps, cleans tables, mops floors, picks up and empties trash as needed, assists with the recycling program as needed • Check work order system and ensures work orders are addressed in a timely manner • Removes graffiti, cleans glass areas as needed • Sets up and breaks down chairs, tables, and equipment throughout the building; ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds • Opens and closes gymnasium bleachers as needed. (This activity involves bending, pulling, and pushing weights in excess of 50 pounds) • Works collaboratively with the Principal and other administrators with planning for and carrying out any special set-up requirements (concerts, science fairs, institutes, holiday programs, etc.) • Possesses a basic understanding of chemicals and processes used in the cleaning process • Receives deliveries and assists in unloading trucks, storing deliveries, and inventorying supplies (monthly supply inventory required) • Responsible for clearing snow and ice from entrances, walkways, and for salting areas of the school • Occasional travel between schools, central office, and stores may be required • Lifts cartons, boxes, and buckets weighing in excess of 50 pounds • Performs all work within a timely and efficient manner • Performs other duties as assigned by the Assistant Facilities Manager, Facilities Manager, and the Principal.
