Duties shall include, but are not limited to, advising departmental managers and staff on emerging insurance-related issues, evaluating and maintaining the effectiveness of the insurance broker relationship, negotiating with brokers as to premiums insurance coverages, and other clauses, reviewing and evaluating existing insurance policies and programs for effectiveness and cost-efficiency, coordinating with various stakeholders for any insurance related matters. Uses a computer and (a) modern office suite software (such as MS Office) to communicate (email), plan, schedule, word process, prepare presentations and graphics, manipulate data (spreadsheets and databases), and (b) special software for tracking certificates of insurance.
