Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: • Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment • Solid verbal and written communication skills • Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field • Strong analytical skills • Knowledge of all door components • Efficient with multiple manual machines and pneumatic equipment such as Nail Gun, Screw Gun, Router, Tape Measure, Square • Required to stand and work for 8-10 hours per day • May involve some repetitive motions - bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts and part containers • Ability to organize and maintain detailed records • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multi-task • Read and understand bill of materials • Due to the open environment of the facility, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity, and cold • Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/32 inch and have basic math skills • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities: • Verify materials being used is correct by reading the bill of materials • Ensure materials meet quality expectations • Palletize, wrap, and label units as needed • Assembles fabricated parts to relatively large or heavy subassemblies and complete units • Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job • Verifies that components are being placed in the correct position per SOP • Repeats tasks until entire door stack is complete • Cleans up work area when shift ends • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
