The candidate will learn and apply various molecular techniques including: Assemble, purify, and characterize the DNA with various enzymatic reactions and analytical techniques, electrophoresis, RE digestion, Gibson assembly, Golden Gate assembly, HiFi DNA assembly, PCR, transformation, DNA/RNA extraction, UV/Vis spectrophotometry, sequencing, RT-PCR, and other functional activity assay. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually require future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the Internal requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
