Production activities may include but are not limited to: industrial sewing, embroidery, pattern layout, cutting, measuring, fabric and material selections, garment construction, screen printing, alterations, upholstery fabrication, furniture recovering, foam cutting, cushion construction, installation of hardware and trim, finishing, packaging, and quality control. The shop foreman oversees incarcerated workers engaged in the production, repair, alterations, and assembly of garments, textile products, upholstered furniture, cushions, and related products for state and local governments, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and state employees.
