What the work looks like • Analyzing coverage on third party liability claims: duty to defend, duty to indemnify, additional insured disputes, exclusions and allocation between carriers • Drafting coverage opinions and reservation of rights letters that adjusters can actually act on • Declaratory judgment actions, from the complaint through dispositive motions and trial • Direct contact with carrier clients, often on the phone the same day a question comes up What you need • 2+ years of third party coverage experience • Florida Bar membership • A habit of reading the whole policy, including the forms everyone else skips How you work The role is posted as hybrid in Miami, but where you work is your choice: in the office, hybrid or fully remote within Florida. $125,000 to $200,000 lets the firm pay a mid level coverage lawyer properly and pay a counsel level lawyer properly too, without forcing either into the wrong band • A clear path to partner for people who build client trust, which in coverage happens one well reasoned letter at a time There's a particular satisfaction in coverage work that litigators in other areas don't always get.
