Position details include but are not limited to: Tutor students through drop-in, by-appointment, semester-long tutoring, embedded, group tutoring and/or lab demonstrations (online and/or in-person) in higher-level courses and complex content-areas, using techniques such as course-specific learning strategies and processing techniques deemed appropriate by the relevant supervisor; build rapport and supportive relationships with students. Assist center director and ARC staff with campus outreach events (ex: Math Awareness Week, Science Week, Hare & Bell Writing Contest, Welcome Week, resource fairs), including in-class visits and workshops Maintain accurate and detailed records, adhering to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), and keeping appropriate staff updated on student progress and problems.
