Human Resources Generalist
Shakopee, MN (100% Onsite)
$65,000-$80,000 annually
Are you an HR professional who enjoys wearing multiple hats and making a direct impact on an organization? Our client, a well-established manufacturing company in the southwest metro, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support a wide range of HR functions while taking the lead on internal recruiting efforts.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both talent acquisition and general HR responsibilities in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruiting efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and candidate coordination
- Partner with staffing agencies, job boards, and recruiting resources
- Attend career fairs and support employment branding initiatives
- Conduct new hire orientations and onboarding activities
- Prepare offer letters and maintain hiring documentation
- Maintain applicant tracking and personnel records
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments and open enrollment support
- Serve as backup support for bi-weekly payroll processing
- Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies and procedures
- Coordinate employment verifications and unemployment claims
- Manage workers' compensation claims and related documentation
- Ensure I-9 compliance and personnel file maintenance
- Facilitate exit interviews and separation processes
- Provide general administrative support as needed
Qualifications- 3-5+ years of Human Resources experience
- Strong recruiting and interviewing experience
- Knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements
- Experience supporting multiple HR functions including onboarding, benefits, employee relations, and payroll
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365
- Experience with HRIS and payroll platforms such as Paylocity or similar systems
- Bachelor's degree preferred
