Human Resources Generalist

Shakopee, MN (100% Onsite)
$65,000-$80,000 annually

Are you an HR professional who enjoys wearing multiple hats and making a direct impact on an organization? Our client, a well-established manufacturing company in the southwest metro, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support a wide range of HR functions while taking the lead on internal recruiting efforts.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both talent acquisition and general HR responsibilities in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruiting efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and candidate coordination
• Partner with staffing agencies, job boards, and recruiting resources
• Attend career fairs and support employment branding initiatives
• Conduct new hire orientations and onboarding activities
• Prepare offer letters and maintain hiring documentation
• Maintain applicant tracking and personnel records
• Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments and open enrollment support
• Serve as backup support for bi-weekly payroll processing
• Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies and procedures
• Coordinate employment verifications and unemployment claims
• Manage workers' compensation claims and related documentation
• Ensure I-9 compliance and personnel file maintenance
• Facilitate exit interviews and separation processes
• Provide general administrative support as needed

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of Human Resources experience
• Strong recruiting and interviewing experience
• Knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements
• Experience supporting multiple HR functions including onboarding, benefits, employee relations, and payroll
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365
• Experience with HRIS and payroll platforms such as Paylocity or similar systems
• Bachelor's degree preferred

Monday-Friday
7:30 AM-4:30 PM or 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
