Opening this Fall, Mottai Miami is a modern Japanese restaurant in the heart of Coral Gables.
We're looking for skilled and reliable Prep Cooks to join the culinary team of our upscale restaurant. You'll work closely with our chefs to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and that all ingredients are prepared with precision, consistency, and care. This role requires strong technical skills, organization, and pride in delivering work that reflects the quality and standards of our brand.
Who We're Looking For
Minimum 2 years of experience as a prep cook or cook in an upscale or high-volume kitchen
Ability to manage multiple prep tasks efficiently while maintaining precision and consistency
Strong understanding of kitchen organization, labeling systems, and proper product rotation
Calm, organized, and detail-oriented under pressure
Strong knife skills and solid foundation in fundamental cooking techniques
Strong communication and teamwork skills in English
Knowledge of Japanese cuisine or familiarity with Asian ingredients is a plus
