3D Animator (Full-Time)

About us: GungHo Online Entertainment America Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of the Japanese gaming company GungHo Online Entertainment, Inc. We publish titles across multiple platforms ranging from AAA to handheld to mobile. Our group is comprised of veterans from various aspects of the industry who are brought together by one simple thing: a love of gaming. Position Summary: As our 3D Animator, you will be primarily responsible for the character animation and asset creation of GungHo's games. What you'll be doing:

Developing games from early prototype to final production. Animating humanoid and non-humanoid characters to show a range of emotions and personalities through sophisticated acting. Making prototype animations and implementations. Direct and guide rigger and implement engineer to achieve requested quality animation in engine, Perform special projects and other miscellaneous duties that are assigned by upper management. Travel on business or work beyond normal work hours when necessary.

Requirements:

Full understanding of the fundamentals of animation, layout and camera, and acting for both humanoid and non-humanoid characters. Full understanding of the fundamentals of rigs and animation implementation in game engine. Experience in animating characters with both photoreal and stylized styles. Proficiency in 3D Modeling tools, with at least 3 years of experience with Maya. Well-versed in Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite. Deep understanding of animation tools and implementation mechanism in Unreal. Art degree and/or equivalent work experience. Must provide an animation portfolio via website link.
