ACCOUNT MANAGER

What You Will Do:

The primary responsibility of the Account Manager is to drive sales growth by managing customer relationships and supporting new and existing business in alignment with Ironwood's sales strategy.

WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH (full job description will be provided):

Sales & Business Development

  • Work independently and in collaboration with engineers to prepare customer quotations for new and existing business
  • Manage the full new project lifecycle, including quotes, sales funnel updates, NBO (New Business Opportunity) reviews, TLP activities, and job kickoffs
  • Maintain and grow existing customer accounts while identifying opportunities for new business
  • Prepare documentation for customer formal reviews (CFRs) within 24 hours of purchase order receipt
  • Responsible for all part and tooling pricing for new and existing programs

Customer Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts
  • Handle higher-level customer issues as needed, including negotiations and customer satisfaction surveys
  • Coordinate customer-specific quality manual reviews and ensure proper documentation is maintained
  • Travel as needed to support and maintain customer relationships

Sales Operations & Collaboration

  • Maintain accurate sales funnel and project documentation
  • Communicate effectively across departments to support customer requirements and successful launches
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality systems, and 5S standards
  • Support weekend work as needed to meet customer demands

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four year college or university
  • 4-6 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to read and interpret customer specific documents
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience using an ERP system (IQMS preferred)
  • Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel as required

Other Important Information:

Reports To: Sales Manager

Schedule: Monday-Friday; core hours typically 7:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (flexibility required)

Work Conditions: Office and manufacturing setting; on site role

Travel: As needed for customer visits

Employment Type: Full time, in office, exempt position

Salary: Salary is commensurate with proven expertise

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Both facilities are climate-controlled, with an outstanding safety record at over 1,550 consecutive days without last-time incident.

ACCOUNTABILITIES IN THE ROLE:

  • Lead by example and perform in a manner that ensures high morale and high performance.

  • Ensure 55 goals for all areas are maintained.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures. AE Quality Systems procedures and work instructions are consistently followed.
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed to support the goals at this position or goals of the company.
  • Any other duties that may be necessary to accomplish the goals of this position or goals of the company.
  • Visual inspection of parts.
  • Dimensional checking of parts.
  • Operate Presses in semi-operation mode.
  • Ensure machines are cycling properly at the lowest possible cycle time.
  • Operate secondary equipment as required.
  • Ensure materials needed at the press are socked (Raw materials, boxes, inserts, etc.), especially at shift change, without overstocking.
  • Ensure proper inventory of parts (perform shift counts, minimize overruns).
  • Quick response to Machine Alarms/Repairs.
  • Clean up at work areas.
  • Ensure that support personnel are notified of problems/questions.
  • Assists other shift personnel as needed.
  • Communicate all problems as needed.
  • Maintain job documentation.
  • Eligible employees may participate in profit sharing after six months of continuous employment.

HOURS:

The second shift operates from 2:45 p.m. - 11:15 p.m. and includes a 10-minute paid rest break and a 30-minute unpaid meal break.

JOB TYPE:

Full-Time.

PAY:

$18.00 per hour
