    Scanlon Fiber Optics is a trusted provider of commercial fiber optic network installation and infrastructure services across the greater Pittsburgh region. We work with businesses, contractors, and municipalities to design, install, and maintain high-speed fiber optic networks. As our business expands, we are seeking a proactive and client-focused Account Manager to help grow and maintain strong relationships with our commercial clients.

    Position Summary

    The Account Manager will be responsible for managing client relationships, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the lifecycle of commercial fiber optic installation projects. This role bridges the gap between clients and operations, and is critical to supporting long-term business growth and successful project delivery.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned commercial clients
    • Understand client needs, project scopes, and service expectations
    • Develop and maintain strong, long-term client relationships through consistent communication
    • Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and field crews to ensure timely project execution
    • Provide regular updates to clients regarding project timelines, changes, and deliverables
    • Prepare and deliver proposals, quotes, and service agreements in collaboration with estimating and leadership teams
    • Assist with resolving client issues or concerns quickly and professionally
    • Identify opportunities for upselling or additional service offerings based on client needs
    • Track account activity using CRM tools and contribute to forecasting and reporting
    • Represent Scanlon Fiber Optics at client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities

    Qualifications

    • 35 years of experience in account management, sales, or client services
    • Experience in construction, telecommunications, or infrastructure services preferred
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts and project details simultaneously
    • Proficient with CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Valid drivers license and willingness to travel locally to client sites as needed
    • Bachelors degree in Business, Communications, or related field preferred

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Knowledge of fiber optic installation, telecom systems, or infrastructure contracting
    • Experience preparing RFP responses or working on public sector projects
    • Understanding of permitting, project coordination, or utility infrastructure
