Alphanumeric is hiring an Accountant - Lead to join a respected organization with a longstanding presence in the financial and insurance industries. If you''re an accounting professional with experience in investment accounting, U.S. GAAP, or Statutory reporting, this is an excellent opportunity to work on complex investment portfolios while partnering with cross-functional finance teams on strategic initiatives.

What You''ll Do

As a member of the Investments team, you''ll help support the accounting and reporting of a diverse alternative investments portfolio that helps drive the organization''s long-term financial success.

In this role, you will:

• Prepare and support U.S. GAAP and U.S. Statutory accounting and reporting for alternative investments
• Analyze system outputs to ensure accurate accounting treatment of investment transactions
• Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, transaction reviews, financial reporting, loan pricing analysis, and real estate owned accounting
• Research accounting guidance and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiencies
• Partner with Finance teams across multiple business lines to support investment strategies
• Assist with accounting policy implementation and business process improvement initiatives
• Support SOX compliance by maintaining controls documentation and evaluating operational risks
• Participate in strategic projects and perform additional accounting responsibilities as needed
