Accounting Manager

Positions Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in a fast-paced services environment. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, systems, and reporting while supporting strategic decision-making across the organization.As a trusted business partner to the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Leadership Team, the Accounting Manager will lead all aspects of accounting while contributing to financial planning and operational analysis. This role oversees the month-end close process including variance analysis while also operating as key resources in the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and reporting to our leadership team.The ideal candidate will bring strong financial leadership, the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights and a deep understanding of NetSuite and financial systems. This position plays a critical role in strengthening financial controls, driving continuous improvement, and optimizing profitability while supporting effective cost management throughout the business.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervises employees in the Accounting and Finance department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work.

· Prepares accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

· Oversee general ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations, payroll, and end-of-month and year-end closing processes.

· Ensures financial records adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory standards.

· Drive best practices in NetSuite ERP across all areas of the business; serve as a financial systems resource for Served with Honor.

· Supervise, train, and mentor accounting staff.

· Assists with budget preparation, cash management, and forecasting, while analyzing variances between budgeted and actual costs.

· Assists with preparation for audits.

· Coordinates with and prepares reports for CFO and upper management.

· Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

· Works across all levels of the organization to resolve issues, improve processes, and assist in the education and training of staff.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA strongly preferred.

· 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.

· Strong GAAP and variance analysis expertise.

· Experience with NetSuite ERP systems required.

· Demonstrated ability to lead and manage accounting staff and cross-functional teams.

· Strong analytical, financial modeling, and communication skills; advanced Excel required; Power BI or similar reporting tools a plus.

· Proven ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.

· Experience implementing and optimizing Accounting and Finance technology platforms.

· Exceptional communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills

· Ability to think strategically while executing effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

· Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and lead high-performing teams.
