Accounting Manager

We are partnering with a well-established, project-based organization that operates in a fast-paced, service-driven environment. Our client is seeking an Accounting Manager to work closely with operations leadership, regional finance, and shared services teams. This role will be instrumental in driving financial accuracy, supporting business performance, and ensuring compliance across multiple locations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead month-end and quarter-end close processes in alignment with established proceduresEnsure compliance with GAAP and internal control requirements, including SOXPartner with operational leaders to address financial inquiries and resolve discrepanciesParticipate in project and job cost reviews to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvementMaintain and review financial reporting tools and branch-level reportingSupport budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning effortsDrive billing, collections, and overall cash flow performanceEnsure accuracy and integrity of financial data provided to leadershipCollaborate cross-functionally to improve processes and support strategic initiativesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field and 4+ years of experience or 6+ years of relevant experience in a construction or project-based environmentStrong experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysisExcellent communication skills and high attention to detailAbility to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentPrior experience in construction, engineering, or project-based accounting environmentsCompensation and BenefitsDetermining compensation for this role and others at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
