Accounting Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to lead our client's financial department. This hands-on leadership role oversees accounting operations, supports accurate financial reporting, and provides financial insight to company leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the financial department, establish priorities, and supervise and develop accounting staff.

• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, collections, and general ledger activities.

• Manage month-end and year-end close, including reconciliations and financial statement preparation.

• Monitor cash flow, outstanding receivables, and payment obligations.

• Prepare financial reports and support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

• Maintain effective internal controls and improve accounting procedures.

• Collaborate with operational teams to resolve financial discrepancies involving orders, shipments, returns, and freight.

• Coordinate with external accountants and auditors on reporting and year-end requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Progressive accounting or finance experience and demonstrated leadership experience.

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month-end close.

• Ability to oversee daily accounting operations while supporting broader financial planning.

• Proficiency with accounting or ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage staff, establish accountability, and explain financial information to company leadership.
