Position Details: 
Duration: 2 years
Hours: M-F 9 am to 5 pm
Pay Rate: $23 per hr.
 
What to Expect:
 

Job Description and Required Services:

 - Evaluate External Appeal applications for eligibility based on established protocols. 
- Request necessary information from appropriate parties in writing
- Respond to questions about the process verbally and in writing
Perform related duties as required:
- Screen requests for External Appeal in accordance with established protocols.
- Act as liaison using written and verbal communication for administrative processes with consumers, providers and insurers.
- Keep electronic case files updated, complete and organized.
In addition, the candidate must possess and/or have the ability to:
- Work individually and as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand and follow written procedures.
- Strong project management skills, including experience managing multiple time-sensitive, complex files simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced high-volume environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including working experience with Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.
- Reliability, and time and attendance are critical.
The selected candidate for this position must be able to perform the following tasks as requested:
- Follow-up on deliverables from internal stakeholders
- Handle correspondence, calls, emails and other forms of communication with internal and outside stakeholders
- Prepare documents
- Performs other duties as assigned
 
 
Qualifications for Success: 
 
- Five years of experience processing documents and corresponding with outside entities; and
- Eligible to work in New York State
- Applicants must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
