JOB INFORMATION:
Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Administrator (Administrative Assistant for Human Resources) for our Human Resources department located at our corporate office in Orlando. In this position the HR Admin will administer and manage leave programs including updating and improving the system; research questions for and communicate with the human resources department and employees about leave policies and our leave program; ensure that forms are collected, recorded and filed on time; prepare or maintain employment records related to events such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers or promotions, using our human resources management system software (HRIS); interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.

- Answer employees’ queries about HR-related issues
- Effective and positive communication via phone and email
- Management of electronic files
- Listen effectively and obtain clarification asking appropriate questions
- Listen to employee concerns and route issues to correct Human Resources manager for resolution
- Administrative help with HRM systems and payroll systems.
- Participate in HR projects
- Speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations
- Processing separation status changes
- Unemployment Responses
- Update internal databases and excel trackers
- Write clearly and informatively; present numerical data effectively; read and interpret written information
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
Preferred Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or 2 years’ experience in a Human Resources or administrative role
- Must be able to type on a computer
- Must have proficiency with Excel
- One to three years of related prior work experience in a team-oriented environment
- Strong customer service background
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written, with vendors, employees and customers to ensure questions and concerns are processed in a timely manner
- Helpful, knowledgeable and polite while maintaining a positive attitude
- Interprets a variety of instructions in a variety of communication mediums
- Maintain confidentiality and practice discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
- Multi-task along with attention to detail
- Must be able to accurately perform simple mathematical calculations using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Must have proficiency with Excel
