DaVita is hiring an Administrative Assistant/ Patient Care Tech to help educate and serve our Home Hemodialysis patients in the Minneapolis, MN area.

• The position will cross train as a PCT and AA

• Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM

• Split time between both roles

• Paid training: DaVita offers all new dialysis teammates a robust, paid training program to help you learn the right dialysis skills. The training is a mix of classroom and hands on training.

• Reimbursement for your Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) license

Administrative Assistant Job Details

• Process admission requests and follow up with hospitals to assure we have all required documents to accept patients
• Admit and discharge patients in computer system
• Document appointments and follow up with offices to receive appointment notes
• Order office supplies
• Filing, good organizational skills, desire to learn DaVita specific systems quickly
• Prioritize tasks throughout the day/week even when unexpected things happen
• Clear and prompt communication with team, practitioners, and outside partners
• Complete tasks in a timely manner

Patient Care Technician Job Details

• Assist with patient training for home dialysis under RN supervision
• Prepare and maintain dialysis equipment
• Monitor and record patient vitals and treatment responses
• Support follow-up care, supply tracking, and telehealth check-ins
• Provide technical and emotional support throughout HHD training

Job Requirements

• You must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited certification program
• Personable with excellent computer and clerical skills (Microsoft Office)
• Job experience in a related administrative position and/or medical setting preferred
• Comfortable with blood, needles and medical equipment
• Willing to train and float across clinics as needed
• Desire to enter the health care field to care for other people in need
• Health care experience preferred including: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.
