LOCATION: Portland, OR

SALARY: $23-$25/hr.

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

INDUSTRY: Event and Hospitality, Administration    

THE ROLE: 

As the Administrative Assistant to the Executive Chef, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen and administrative functions. From managing schedules to database management, you'll be at the heart of the culinary operations. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide administrative support to our Executive Chef and culinary team members.

  • Manage schedules, appointments, and travel arrangements for the Executive Chef.

  • Maintain kitchen inventory and order supplies as needed.

  • Handle correspondence, emails, and phone calls with professionalism and efficiency.

  • Proficiently manage Excel spreadsheets and other administrative documents.

  • Assist with financial tasks, such as expense tracking and budget management.

  • Coordinate meetings, events, and special projects as required.

  • Serve as a liaison between the culinary team and other departments within the organization.

SKILLS AND MUST-HAVES:

  • A passion for the culinary arts and a desire to support a talented culinary team.

  • Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in a culinary or hospitality setting.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • A proactive mindset and a willingness to take on new challenges.
