For over 25 years, National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) has specialized in connecting experienced workers (ages 55+) with full-time and part-time job opportunities that support the critical missions of Federal Agencies across the United States.

NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the National Park Service (NPS). These experienced professionals provide administrative expertise, facilities management, natural and cultural resource planning, and a broad array of other professional skills that support the National Park Service through the Experienced Services Program (ESP).

Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will? relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee.

PLEASE NOTE: An ?Enrollee? is not a federal employee, nor an employee of NEW Solutions. An ?Enrollee? is a participant in a grant program established through a Cooperative Agreement funded by the agency and administered by NEW Solutions.

Duration

This position is approved for up to 2,080 total hours.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 year(s) of experience in administrative, operations and program analysis and other related fields. OR BA/BS Degree

  • Demonstrated ability to organize, manage, multi-task, advise staff on all levels; must be a self-starter with strong customer relations and demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook, Adobe Acrobat
Duties:

Perform technical, analytical, and administrative support duties and functions. Assist with carrying out special projects as assigned and with coordinating administrative operations and actions. Requires strong skills in leveraging technology and independent work ability to research, evaluate and develop products to communicate data collection, correspondence, and support requests. Remote work available with some in-office days required.

  • Schedule and/or facilitate key meetings for the Regional Facility Support Division(FSD), Management staff, or others as needed. Responsible for coordinating Budget and Financial activities in IR2. Provide expert advice on all phases of appropriated fund budgeting to program managers and budget staff and regional office employing organizations.   20%
  • Conduct independent work in data collection, analysis, and leverage technology to support product development in a broad array of projects and queries and other data collection efforts to support park functions and activities. Assist in HR requests, tracking, monitoring and ensuring accurate and timely submissions for the FSD.   30%
  • Manage, evaluate, filter, and distill received information and requests. Prepare, review, and edit park correspondence and other official documents.   20%
  • ??Advise park leadership on recommended priorities and action items and conduct research on agency policy, process, and regulations on a variety of topics.?   15%
  • Maintain knowledge of park major functions and roles performed by the Divisions to allow technical and advisory support and assistance on large-scale or special projects.   15%
