Together, these programs advance OCCR's commitment to connecting people with resources.Employee Services OverviewEmployee Services provides internal support to OCCR by delivering high‑quality services designed to cultivate a positive and efficient workplace. The team facilitates internal communications, optimizes operational processes, and supports administrative functions across the department. It also coordinates employee recognition events and engagement initiatives.Training and Professional SupervisionThe intern will receive direct supervision and guidance from Employee Services staff, along with structured training on OCCR administrative processes, internal communication tools, department procedures, and standard office practices. The internship offers a structured orientation to departmental operations, administrative procedures, and workplace expectations, and includes opportunities to participate in team meetings, project planning, and staff support activities.Intern Duties / ResponsibilitiesPreparing and organizing department materials, including electronic files, spreadsheets, tracking logs, reports, and PowerPoint presentations.Supporting data entry and information management, such as updating internal logs, processing forms, and maintaining accurate documentation for Employee Services requests.Assisting with employee engagement and recognition initiatives, including event preparation, logistics, materials development, and day‑of support for celebrations, meetings, and department‑wide activities.Assisting with the creation, editing, and organization of Employee Services communications, including quarterly newsletters and contributions to the OCCR Annual Report.Supporting the development of visual communications by creating simple graphic designs, drafting visual layouts, and assisting with flyers, digital assets, and other materials used for newsletters, employee engagement, and department communications.Educational RequirementsApplicants must be current college students enrolled in an accredited college or university, or recent graduates (within 6 months) with an interest in a public‑sector career or gaining experience in an office/administrative environment.Skills, Training, or QualificationsStrong oral and written communication skills.High level of organization, reliability, and attention to detail.Eager to learn and gain professional experience.Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner.Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.Experience using the internet and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook, and Teams).Time CommitmentThe internship is in‑person only. We can meet college internship timeline requirements, or a minimum of 15–20 hours per week for a minimum of 3 months.
