Position Summary:
The Center for Global Engagement at Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Administrative Support Specialist - Boca Raton, FL.
The Administrative Support Specialist provides administrative and operational support for international student admissions, enrollment, onboarding, and student services activities within the Center for Global Engagement. This position assists with student record management, documentation processing, immigration-related administrative functions, customer service, and coordination of communications with students, campus partners, and external stakeholders. The incumbent supports the efficient delivery of programs and services by ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of information while contributing to the University's commitment to student success and global engagement.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor''s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or an Associate''s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of related experience required.
Must meet federal eligibility requirements for Designated School Official (DSO) designation, including U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders required.
Strong customer service, organizational, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to resolve issues professionally and efficiently required.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience working with databases, student information systems, or other enterprise systems required.
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, foster positive working relationships, and collaborate successfully in a team oriented environment required.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
Experience in higher education, international education, admissions, enrollment services, or student affairs, or a related administrative support role.
Familiarity with student information systems, international student services, SEVIS, and/or immigration-related processes and documentation.
Salary:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour.

Monday - Friday (minimum of four days per week), part time between the hours of 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., up to 28 hours.

Temporary positions are not established positions and are paid from OPS funds. Temporary positions are usually not eligible for benefits and retirement; however, they may be eligible for health insurance coverage depending on the average hours worked per week. They provide full-time or part-time employment in an exempt or non-exempt employment situation based on job duties and salary in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Temporary positions do not have layoff rights and may be terminated without prior notice.
