Are you a talented family law attorney looking to join a well-respected, quickly growing firm?Provide legal representation and guidance in family law cases, including divorce, child custody, support, property division, and domestic violence.Conduct thorough client consultations, assess the merits of the case, and develop strategies to achieve client objectives.Prepare and file legal documents accurately and on time, including complaints, motions, pleadings, and settlement agreements.Conduct comprehensive legal research and analyze case law, statutes, and regulations to build strong legal arguments.Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and alternative dispute resolution for favorable settlements.Advocate for clients in court proceedings through persuasive arguments, examination of witnesses, and presentation of evidence.Maintain regular, effective communication with clients, explaining options and providing updates on case progress.Collaborate with colleagues for trial preparation, information exchange, and efficient case management.Conduct depositions, gather evidence, and engage expert witnesses as needed.Misc DutiesStay updated on family law developments to provide accurate legal adviceUphold ethical standards, confidentiality, and client trustManage caseload, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with attention to detailDevelop professional relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnelEngage in professional development activities to enhance legal knowledge and skillsContribute to firm marketing through networking, legal articles, and presentations to attract clients and showcase expertiseAssist in collecting or have a payment plan executed for 80%+ billable hoursQualifications3+ years of experience in family lawLicensed to practice law in Texas, Juris Doctor DegreeAble to commute to the office in Tyler with some flexibility to work remotelyStrong skillset to give clients an exceptional experience and litigate effectivelyOnly 1,200 billable hours are required per year, with increased compensation for additionalCompensationTotal Pay: $100,000- $285,000Base salary: $85,000 per yearBillable Hour Incentive plan: begins at $5,000 and goes up to $170,000Consultation Fee Incentive: $10,000- $20,000 per yearNew Client Origination Bonus- 25% for personal injury clients and discretionary for family law clientsAnnual Performance Bonus – discretionary, based on firm and individual performanceCompetitive medical, vision, and dental insurancePaid holidays + unlimited PTOPaid CLE, professional memberships, & licensesRelocation pay will be considered if applicableReimbursement for mileage and parking for the courtGrowth PathWith strong performance and leadership ability, this associate could have the opportunity to grow into a Managing Attorney and oversee others in the firm.Core CompetenciesSelf-Starter : able to set personal goals, independently identify solutions, and begin work or undertake projects on their own initiative, without needing to be told or encouraged.Independence : Ability to work efficiently on assigned tasks with little to no supervision and to take initiative.
